TUTOR - GCSE Chemistry & Physics A-level Chemistry & Physics

I have a BSc in biochemistry from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and a PhD in biochemistry with physical chemistry from the University of Kent. I have since enjoyed a research and teaching career that has taken me all around the world.

I pride myself on being able to explain difficult concepts clearly and concisely (the nitty-gritty). I base my teaching upon a set of PowerPoint presentations which I have written and continually update to meet the needs of changing syllabuses and the latest scientific advances. Passing exams is the priority and so each session comes with practice questions carefully chosen at the appropriate standard, taken from my extensive collection. I also provide worked examples, and hints and tips aimed at getting maximum marks.

I am presently a part-time lecturer at The Leys School in Cambridge, where I specialise in teaching the natural sciences to international students - young adults who are seeking to come to the UK in the future to study for a science degree. I am also involving in training AI to think like humans, which is actually more fun than it might seem.
