TUTOR - GCSE & A-level English

I am a patient English educator with over 23 years of teaching and tutoring experience, supporting learners from age 11 through adulthood to achieve their academic and personal goals. My qualifications include a BA (Hons), PGCE, and an MA in Creative Writing (Distinction), and I have worked across mainstream, independent and SEND schools, as well as within private tutoring settings.

I specialise in designing tailored lessons that build confidence and success, whether for GCSE, A-Level, or KS3 English. My approach is student-centred and adaptive, ensuring every learner feels supported and challenged. I have also served as Lead Teacher of English, written Schemes of Work, and worked as a senior examiner and moderator for major exam boards.

I believe that one-to-one tuition creates a unique space for dialogue and exploration, allowing ideas to flourish beyond the constraints of the classroom, and I am always ambitious for my pupils. My mission is to help every student develop their skills and reach their fullest potential through engaging, personalised learning.
